No of Temples: 02 +Sacred pillar (Manstambha), Pahaad/Mountain: No, Historical Importance: There is a beautiful Temple of Lord Chandraprabhuji at height of 95 feet. about 180 years ago, during British period Begum Sumeru was ruling here. While digging a canal from the river Gangas, a white sitting posture Idol of Lord Chandraprabhuji was obtained since one of the eminent predicted that the place where this Idol will be established, there will be the ruling of Jains. Thats why Begum ordered to take the Idol out of her reign while transporting the Idol by bullock cart, the vehicle got blocked at Mehelaka at the place, already there was a Temple of Lord Parshwanathji, so this Idol was established in the same Temple. It was experienced that Idol became extremely lighter while its establishment. Earlier there was continuation of Jain race by adopting the children, but after established of this Idol this was changed. Hearsay that no one gets killed by snakes bite in Mehelka region. Annual Fair: Annual Ratha Mahostav in the month of April.
