Patna, July 23, 2015 : The state government has decided to open a tourist information centre in Mumbai to attract more tourists to Bihar. The number of domestic as well as foreign tourists visiting Bihar has increased in recent times.
A tourist information centre in the country's commercial capital will boost the number further, said a senior tourism department official here.
The government has selected Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) premises in Kurla area for the purpose. The centre will provide information about important tourist sites in Bihar, including the archaeological sites, Pawapuri for Jain festival and Rajgir for annual world peace festival accommodation nearby, the rail and air connectivity to Patna and Bodh Gaya, etc, said the official.
